more, depending on the size of group you're planning on attracting. The

Better Blanket Fit = Happier Horse
Ever wonder why your horse's blanket just doesn't
fit right - even after you've measured him from chest to tail? BlanketNet.com
has the solution. This useful website is dedicated to helping horse owners
benefit from better fitting blankets. The Blanketnet team measured horses of
all different breeds and determined that many horses have identical chest to
tail measurements, yet have very different body types and proportions. They
discovered that when a horse lowers his head to eat, his neck size expands up
to eleven inches!

Rein-Aid Reins
Rein-Aid Productions has produced a continuous
rein suitable for competition that assists the rider in maintaining an elastic
connection with the horses mouth. 1 of elastic is sewn into the
rein and supported by a leather loop that prevents the elastic from
overstretching. |
Elasto-Rein® not only allows the horse to
forgive mistakes made by the rider, it actually helps the rider
feel and maintain the desired elastic contact. Ideal for horses that are tense
or inconsistent in their frame, the elastic contact improves the horses
relaxation, roundness and trust in the rider.

Equi-Stim Leg Saver - An Alternative Therapy Used For The Quick
Repair Of The Injured Horse
The father of the LEG SAVER is Gary G. DesRoches.
I am a 62-year-old Canadian horse veteran with 47 years experience in the
thoroughbred industry. Born and raised on the West Coast of Canada I have been
able to be working year around in the industry. I have been involved in every
aspect of the racing industry.
In 1995 we purchased a yearling in the fall sale,
which started to bow his tendon while in training the following summer. We did
all the right things for the following year, with the problem getting
worse.
The need for a remedy for a severely bowed tendon
spawned the search for a cure. A tens machine was the first product I tried
with very limited success. Laser, ultra sound, and many others were tried but
with mild short-term results.

Todd Minikus and Oh Star
Win $50,000 HITS Grand Prix at Constitution Classic at HITS Culpeper
V |
CULPEPER, VA (August 26, 2001)-Todd Minikus, 39,
of Loxahatchee, Florida, riding Oh Star won the $50,000 HITS Grand Prix at the
Constitution Classic Horse Show in Culpeper, Virginia, today. Sydney Olympic
Team Alternate Minikus and his Olympic mount Oh Star were the fastest of six
double-clears in a field of 22 entries. As owner/rider, Minikus took home
$15,000 in prize money. Doug Russell of Wellington, Florida, designed the
course.
"It really came down to speed in the Jump-Off," said Minikus, who
beat his closest competitor, Kim Frey of Hume, Maryland, on Bergerac, by a
second and fractions. Minikus and Oh Star also won the $50,000 Rio Vista Grand
Prix at HITS Culpeper on July 8, adding to his string of eight major Grand Prix
wins in the past nine weeks. "I'm extremely fortunate to be riding two
horses as talented as Oh Star and What Nu," he said. "They're both
very competent horses. For whatever reason, the stars must be lined up right.
You can't win like this without a little luck. And luck has really been on my
side."

centre and retirement homes, will be holding an Equine Welfare Weekend on
Saturday and Sunday 15th and 16th September as part of the Jeep National Riding

pony depends on the owner for its health, comfort and safety at all times. The
Equine Welfare Weekend is a great opportunity for everyone to learn more about
horse-care and just what is involved. The week, which has already attracted
support from many equestrian organisations and top riders including Pippa
Funnell, Tim Stockdale and Leslie Law, aims to highlight what keeping a horse
entails while also encouraging responsible horse ownership especially to
the increasing number of people who are becoming horse owners for the first
time.
