horse Ticket Sales Gallop Ahead

Ticket sales for this year’s Horse of the Year Show look set to break all records, say organisers Grandstand Media Ltd. Horse of the Year Show returns to Wembley Arena from the 2nd - 7th October, having expanded this year into an extra day.

Horse of the Year Show is now renowned for leading the way in equestrian entertainment, and this year is no exception. With displays from Daniel Naprous, the Metropolitan Police Activity Ride and the Household Cavalry Musical Ride, the atmosphere at this year’s Show will be electrifying. As always, the competition will be fierce, with an increased number of competitors having qualified, despite the impact of Foot and Mouth Disease on the earlier part of the season.

The HOYS Spectacular is set to launch the show on Tuesday 2nd October, with an Inter Services Tournament celebrating the links between equestrianism and the military.

The Trade Stand Pavilion is packed with stands of all types, and promises an extensive range of goods that will delight even the most discerning shopper. Additional trade stands can also be found around the Show including the Arena concourse. The Horseware Ireland Equestrian Feature Area is where everybody can meet some of the equine stars of the Show. It will be home to the Metropolitan Police horses, Imperator, a Luitsiano stallion that is the star of many TV commercials, including the Lloyds Bank advertisement and the ILPH’s (International League for the Protection of Horses) famous rescued horse “Bob the Cob”. Our younger visitors will also enjoy meeting “Ted”, the star of the popular children’s book – “The Story of Ted”, as well as finding out about the Pony Club and meeting some of the miniature horses competing at the Show.

The Horse of the Year Show website – www.hoys.co.uk, where full information, competitions, online bookings and news about the Show can be found, has also been busy with over 35,000 visitors in the last three months alone.

Everything is in place to ensure that this year’s Show breaks all records,” said Mark Wein, a Director of Grandstand Media Ltd. “After a season which has been affected by FMD, the Show looks set to end the competitive year on a high note. The hard work, dedication and commitment of all those involved in the Show, from the qualifying show secretaries, to the team here in the office, have ensured that this year’s show will not only go ahead, but will be a celebration of achievement and a fantastic display of equestrianism at all levels. I am sure that visitors to the Show will definitely not be disappointed, and I can only urge those who are thinking of attending the Show to book their tickets now, as some performances are coming close to selling out.”
