Hello,
I
am French-Australian, came back to France and just opened the family
house Château de Béhen as B&B and would be happy
to welcome France lovers between
London and Paris.
You
might be interested in the B&B facilities we offer at Château
de Béhen, - for holidays to enjoy the house and the region;
- for excursion, short break tour, golf week end in Northern France;
- when you go shopping to Calais or Dieppe (just one hour from Béhen);
- for stop over on your way to Normandy, to Paris, to south of France;
- when you want to organise a special anniversary weekend.
There
are so many things to discover in our region, Picardy coast and
the Bay de Somme

Enjoy nature: Visit ornithological bird reserve du Marquenterre
and take the steam railway around Bay de Somme which has been selected
as one of the most beautiful preserved Bay in the world. Picardy
coast offers very different landscapes and coastlines within few
miles, along 40 km you have cliffs, then stones beach, then bay,
then sandy beaches, Forest de Crécy...

Enjoy sports: Cycle hire, horse riding on site or nearby, track
Grande Randonnée 125, several golfs nearby, big swimming
pool in Abbeville, Aqua Club in Fort Mahon, sea side, water sports,
and beach sail (char à voile).

Enjoy rich architectural and historical patrimonies
- Gothic Collegial, Prehistory Museum, in Abbeville (10 km), Château
de Bagatelle, Château feudal de Rambures, Abbey de Saint-Riquier,
Amiens Cathedral...
- visit St Valery harbour from where William the Conquerant left
to England in 1066, not far from Crécy battlefields. We are
also not so far to Somme WW1,2 battlefields and memorials: Villers-Bretonneux,
Peronne, Albert, Bapaume, and Thiepval.... Huppy, Abbeville...There
is also WW2 V1 launch site remaining in Béhen.

Enjoy French cuisine: You can have evening meal at the Château
(table d'hôtes on reservation). Numerous good restaurants
nearby or on the coast offer regional specialities from fish to
lamb "pré-salé"...
So if you can tell us about your preferences and hobbies (golf,
history, gastronomy...) we will be happy to help with the organisation
of your stay and inform you about the places to visit.

All
rooms reach high accommodation standards; we are B&B with the
famous Gîtes de France organisation. Prices are including
breakfast and are indicated per room and per night. All rooms are
in the Château. We offer double rooms, family room or suites.
Examples:
Room
rate for two people including breakfast is 89 Euros for a double
room with en suite bathroom, and 119 Euros for suite (two communicating
rooms).
Family
room is 119 Euros for two adults and 2 children, including breakfast.
Rubis room is shown on the net and is about 45 square meters incl.
bathroom.
Curtains are dividing the room in two parts parents, children.
Suite
Saphir on the square wing of the Château is a suite apartment
with two double bedrooms with chimneys, corridor, une "salle
de bain" one bathroom with bath and two vanities, marble and
another "salle d'eau" with one wall shower and one vanity,
marble. The Saphir suit is more than 70 square meters big.
On
the other wing of the Château, there is Opale suite with a
big bedroom and "salon d'été" in the "rotonde":
round tower, about 50 square meters altogether.
There
is also possibilities of BBQ in front of the C hâteau,"Cochon
de lait "and salads for 35 / 50 persons so it could be an idea
for stop over for a group, for your car club using cross channel
link between Dieppe and Calais, also possibilities of seminars,
wedding receptions...
Situated:
3 km from A28/A16 motorways. "Michelin Map" n° 52,
fold n° 6. Abbeville: 10 km; Rouen: 90 km; Amiens: 50 km; Paris:
180 km Calais: just one hour, Dieppe: 50 mn, via D925
