Homfeld Receives Fourth Course Designer Of The Year Award

For the second year in a row, and fourth time over all, the Mr. & Mrs.
William C. Cox Memorial Trophy for the Show Jumping Course Designer of the
Year has been awarded to Conrad Homfeld of Southampton, New York. Along
with last year's victory, Homfeld also received this award in 1988 and 1997.
Formal presentation of the award will be made at the Pegasus Awards Dinner
to be held on January 11, 2002 during the USA Equestrian Annual Meeting in
Charlotte, North Carolina.

Some of the courses Homfeld designed in 2001 were the American Gold Cup
(Devon, PA), the Washington International (Washington, CD), Devon (Devon,
PA), the Hampton Classic (Bridgehampton, NY) and the Oaks Blenheim
International (San Juan Capistrano, CA).

The winner of the Mr. & Mrs. William C. Cox Memorial Trophy is determined
annually by the U.S. Competitors on the U.S. Grand Prix Show Jumping
Circuit. Donated in 1958 by the Cox family, the award memorializes Mr. And
Mrs. William C. Cox who were ardent supporters of grand prix show jumping in
the United States.
