Interesting collection of horses at KWPN Select Sale

On Friday 1 February 2002 the second edition of the KWPN Select Sale will take place during the Central Stallion Approvals in ‘s Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. The group of three-year-old stallions that the selection committee has selected for the auction is extremely interesting for both breeding and sport. The organisers feel that some of the best horses of the series will be made available for interested parties. All horses have been chosen for pedigree, type, movement and free jumping. What is more, the horses have had x-ray and clinical veterinary examinations and have all been given a Back Home microchip with a Virbac transponder code.

Twenty-six horses can be seen in the catalogue that comes out on Monday 7 January. Moreover, images of each horse have been recorded and can be seen on the presentation video. The quality across the board is extremely high with some outstanding horses. One of the horses that was much admired in the first viewing at Ermelo is Sir Sinclair. This son of Lord Sinclair out of Krishna, star sport (Flemmingh) is under ownership of Jaap Jonker of Vaassen and Anton Geessink of Zevenaar. Sergio (Houston x Zandigo), in combined ownership of W. Dijk, H. Veninga and De Craecken Stables, also made a great impression in Ermelo and during the selection days for the auction.

Sibon le Sursaut, of Le Sursaut Stables in Heerle, is one of the eye-catchers among the show jumpers. This son of Heartbreaker and the mare Ilonka of Oula Owl xx jumps with beautiful technique and fine take-off. The family Nijhof of Geesteren are putting the marvellous show jumper Caletto x Concorde up for offer at the auction. His dam is a full sister of the top show jumper Audi’s Jikke of Eric van der Vleuten. The stallion Salzburg (Burggraaf x Amor) is a full brother of the approved stallion Kroongraaf and, via his dam Rianne, a half-brother of the international show jumper Belladonna of Katie Monahan.

As already mentioned, the auction will take place on Friday evening of 1 February in the Brabanthallen in ‘s Hertogenbosch as the conclusion to the Central Stallion Approvals. All information concerning the stallions is available at the KSS sales room two days before the auction. Moreover, the KSS VHO Sale has been organised as a prolongation of the auction. In the sales hall near the KSS sales room one can find the thirty or so three-year-old stallions that are on offer. The KSS sales team can present them to interested parties.
