Bonnies Share USA Equestrian Lifetime Achievement Award

Edward and Nina Bonnie of Louisville, KY, have been named as the winners of the 2002 First USA Bank/USA Equestrian Lifetime Achievement Award for the
Jimmy A. Williams Trophy. This prestigious award is bestowed annually by the USA Equestrian Executive Committee to an outstanding equestrian or equestrians whose "lifetime experience and accomplishments exemplify uncommon devotion to the sport of horse showing and whose equestrian career and horsemanship has continually elevated the sport's excellence."

Nina has played a vital role with the Kentucky Horse Park and is currently chairperson of the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation. She competed successfully in the hunter division for many years, served as the Chairman of the Hunter Committee and was a member of the Board of Directors of USA Equestrian. She is a second-generation winner of the award. Her mother, Theodora (A.C.) Randolph, won the award in 1995. "Ned" is an attorney specializing in equine matters and has been on the Board of Directors of USA Equestrian and several other equine trade associations. The Bonnies own, train and ride hunters, jumpers and steeplechasers.

The Bonnies add their names to a distinguished list of equestrians who have made indelible marks on the world of horse sports, including recent recipients of the sterling silver hat by Tiffany's, Frank D. Chapot, John H. Fritz, HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and another husband-and-wife team, Kenneth and Sallie Wheeler.
