The inaugural Dengie Scholarships took place at The British Equine Event. Four Pony Club members benefited from assistance with training, feed and equipment.

Ibby Macpherson (19) from Berwickshire, Ester Haughie (18) a working pupil with Ronnie Durrand, based at Bramham Park. Antonia Moller (21) who will train with Ginny Elliot and Stephanie Smith (21) from Somerset. They each won £600 worth of training plus £200 Of Dengie feed for both trainer and rider.

The selectors had a tough time sorting through the C.V.'s sent to Pony Club headquarters, but eventually decided on the four.

Amanda Renouard said "The aim of the scholarship was to help Pony Club members who were going to achieve and put something back into the equestrian industry, be that as competitive riders, trainers or running successful equestrian businesses"
