In just its third year, Armathwaite Hall is hosting what has quickly become established as a major fixture in the sporting and country fair calendar. The Country Fair promises a genuinely rural theme, in keeping with the local Lake District heritage, whilst the Horse Trials competitions are again expected to attract a strong field of international competitors to compete for some of the richest prizes on the British circuit.

Excellent hospitality is centred on the 4-star Armathwaite Hall Hotel throughout the weekend and admission to the event includes entry to the much-acclaimed Trotters World of Animals located on the Country Fair site and featuring many rare and unusual breeds, plus birds of prey.

  • The Armathwaite Hall Strongid-P Horse Trials & Country Fair was first held in 1999, centred on the 4-star Armathwaite Hall Country Hotel bordering Bassenthwaite Lake.
  • Hospitality packages to suit all tastes and budgets are available - booking now.
  • Press accreditation will be formally invited closer to this year's event, but may be requested at any time.
