Bring Expertise To British Equine Event

The
UK's leading specialist Equestrian breakdown service provider,
Equestrian Support Services (ESS) is bringing its expertise to
this year's British Equine Event at Stoneleigh Park.
Accidents
and breakdowns involving horse boxes or trailers are unfortunately
all too common. It is for this reason that ESS will be holding
its own Trailer Trials at this year's event. ESS is inviting visitors
to visit its outdoor arena in order to test their knowledge and
skills against the clock in a 4x4 with trailer, manoeuvring through
a course which has been specially designed by BSM towing instructors.
The event is designed to teach visitors about the risks involved
in towing, the precautions to take and how to minimise the risk
of an accident or breakdown on the road.
Supported by motoring organisation RAC, the trials are the first
of their kind and ESS is hoping that as well as being a fun experience,
they will draw drivers' attention to the many, yet often forgotten
risks of travelling with a horse box or trailer.

Managing Director, Nick Hamilton commented, "These trailer
trials will be a great experience for participants and we have
some fantastic prizes on offer, but there is also a serious reason
for them. We receive over 5000 calls from customers every year
who have been in an accident or breakdown involving horseboxes
or trailers. They
range from the very minor to the extremely serious, but in both
cases, most are preventable through better planning and awareness.
The
course lasts about 15 minutes. Anyone can have a go and participants
will be accompanied by a BSM instructor at all times".
If
you don't fancy getting behind the wheel, ESS also has a group
of representatives present who will be able to provide advice
and guidance on travelling with horses or how to cope in a breakdown
situation. There will even a horse racing simulator on the stand
to keep the children (or adults!) happy.
All
show visitors are welcome to come to the stand either to take
part or to seek advice from ESS' wealth of experts, there may
even be a few surprise guests!
