Corral Kit Solves Lisa's Dilemma

When Lisa Hofert moved house this year her horse was no doubt delighted, because the new home came with a 3½ acre paddock. All very good, you might think, but she faced a problem, which was how to keep her horse in the paddock?

Well Lisa’s problems have been solved, thanks to Overland Marketing (the specialist equestrian distributor) and the R&R Country Store at Hemingbrough, near Selby, who ran a competition for an electric fencing kit – and Lisa won it.

A delighted Lisa said: ‘I’ve never won anything in my life before, but - as you do - I entered the competition anyway, and I was so thrilled when R&R told me I’d won this prize – it’s just what I need’.

Sue Moxon of R&R said: ‘We’re really pleased that Lisa won our competition: we’ve only been stocking the Corral kit since April, but they’re already really popular with our customers.’

The Corral electric fencing kit, worth £170, comes with an energiser, battery, tape, tester, gate hook and warning sign and includes 20 virtually unbreakable plastic fencing posts. The posts themselves have extra long ground spikes for greater stability, and the whole kit comes in a carry case to keep everything together.

The Corral kit is ideal for helping your horse or pony to be safe and is very flexible, so that you can make smaller or medium runs of fencing or even a smaller paddock area.

Roy Gore from Overland marketing said: ‘Since we introduced the Corral fencing kit at BETA this year, the response from the trade has been tremendous – there really has been a huge take up on it because it’s selling so well.’
