The British Equine Event 2001

3 & 4th November 2000 - Don't Miss It!

HORSE PLAY AT THE BRITISH EQUINE EVENT!

The country’s top equine experts gather at the NAC Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire for the eleventh British Equine Event to be held on 3rd - 4th November. From top equestrian stars and celebrity vets to specialised stands and a focused business forum, the British Equine Event has become known as the biggest event of its kind, offering everything for the horse and rider.

Packed with practical demonstrations and features, visitors have the chance to see Carl Hester, Olympic rider and dressage trainer, teaming up with top International dressage judge, Stephen Clarke, for a unique presentation on how to ride a winning dressage test. Karen Basset, one of the world’s top team driving competitors will give a talk on training teams. Kristina Cook, who has just returned from the European Eventing Championships where she represented Great Britain, will speak about her own training techniques and how she produces winning horses right through from the early stages.

Celebrity vet Sally Kingsley, from TV’s ‘Vets in Practice’ programme, is talking on a wide range of everyday healthcare issues as part of the Healthy Horse Focus. Sally is highlighting the latest advances in wound management and recovery procedures as well as routine therapy such as poulticing and hot and cold therapy. Horse owners also have the chance to pick up advice from her on bandaging and dressing wounds, the basics of healing, optimum healing environments and knowing when to call for immediate veterinary assistance.

Visitors will have the chance to see top British working hunter horses and ponies, including Scotch the Rumour, Working Hunter of the Year in 2001, as part of a presentation on how to select and produce prize winning working hunters. The demonstrations will focus on all aspects of training, judging requirements and how to care for the successful performance horse and pony.

The British Equine Event also features an up-to-the-minute Business Forum. Now in its third year, the forum has proved to be invaluable as a business information resource, offering practical advice on key issues affecting the equine industry. It will appeal to professionals from across the whole sector, concentrating on marketing equine businesses, the liabilities of livery yard owners and government action for the post FMD situation.

With its two-day demonstration programme and over 300 specialist trade stands, the British Equine Event is a must for anyone with an interest in horses and riding.

The British Equine Event is organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of England in association with Your Horse and is sponsored by Dodson & Horrell Ltd, Eqvalan and Intervet.
