horse It’s all "horse talk" at the British Equine Event 2000

Horse owners wanting to learn about the benefits of acupuncture and keeping their equines free from travel sickness can find the answers at this year’s British Equine Event at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire on 4-5 November.

The event’s "Talking Horses" seminar sessions have experts on-hand to offer advice on sending a mare to stud, treating travel sickness and the basics of equine acupuncture as well as alternative solutions for keeping older horses fit.

Bringing an international dimension to the event, Mikael Holmström from Sweden, shares his experiences of evaluating young horses.

Equestrian expertise from around the world is also provided by New Zealand Olympic eventer, Andrew Nicholson and from Finland, Olympic dressage star Kyra Kyrklund. Both will give demonstrations of their disciplines in the Main Arena.

Now in its 10th year, the British Equine Event offers advice and information on everything for the horse and rider. It includes a new Veterinary Clinic, farriery advice, a business forum and over 300 specialist companies and breed societies.

David Storrar, Director of Exhibitions for the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE), organisers of the event, says: "Every year the seminar sessions are packed with visitors able to take home some invaluable tips for looking after horses and ponies. If your horse has a problem, come here and quiz the experts free of charge!"
