Improved Hickstead Equine Event Promises More Bargains

Better parking, an improved catering area, separate coffee bar - and bargains galore!

That's the message for the second year of the Hickstead Equine Event to be held at the All England Jumping Course on January 10, 11 and 12.

Last year's opening Event broke all its launch targets in attendance and sales, but organising group Primary Sport Management's David Crockford is convinced that this year's will be even bigger and better.

"We have modified and redesigned everything which caused minor irritations, but the most important thing is that the traders did very well and will be encouraged to do even more in the way of post-Christmas bargains," he said.

The public forums - where team managers from showjumping, dressage and horse trials talked about plans and problem solving - are also being re-shaped. "They were extremely popular with the public and we are building on that success to present something even better this year," said Mr Crockford.

Entrance price will be £5, children and pensioners £3, although early bookings will earn a £2 discount. Call 01273 833884.
