Equestrian Releases Documents On Equestrian Sports Governance

Documents
on recent equestrian sport governance activities are now available

According
to USA Equestrian president Alan F. Balch, "We have been
fairly quiet since our board meeting on July 9, not even making
many basic documents public to our membership, because we still
hold out some hope that the United States Equestrian Team leadership
will take the prospects of a mediated settlement of the sport's
future governance more seriously. We had thought public disclosure
of this material might possibly interfere with those efforts.
However, after the attempt to mediate in Denver over a week ago
apparently didn't yield meaningful results, and the USET is not
even responding to suggestions from its own trustees to meet jointly,
we thought we now needed to keep our membership and all the sport's
constituents up to date. The time period in federal law during
which a demand for arbitration of the USOC hearing panel report
must be made ends very soon."
