horse Brightwells support Welsh Centenary Championship at HOYS

Brightwells, the renowned auctioneers and valuers, are to support the unique Welsh Centenary Championship to be held at Horse of the Year Show, Wembley Arena, 2nd – 7th October, to celebrate the Centenary Year of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society.

This special championship designed to celebrate the versatility and all round performance of the Welsh Breed, will be judged during the Sunday Matinee performance in the Horse and Hound Arena, with the Championship being awarded in the International Arena during Sunday’s Gala Night performance. The Championship will be open to the highest placed Welsh Pony (pure or part-bred) in each Showing Championship at this year’s Show, and has already generated huge interest and enthusiasm amongst owners and riders of Welsh ponies.

We are absolutely delighted to be associated with the Welsh Centenary Championship at the Horse of the Year Show” commented Terry Court Brightwells’ Joint Managing Director, “Supporting this special Championship in the Welsh Pony and Cob Society’s Centenary Year not only cements the relationship between Brightwells and the WPCS, but also allows Brightwells to participate in the biggest and most prestigious event on the showing calendar, which we feel fits perfectly with our company values of quality and excellence.”

Mike Gill, Director of Grandstand Media remarked, “Brightwells is a trusted and well-respected brand within the equestrian world, and we are thrilled that they are supporting this special Welsh Centenary Championship. We are sure that Brightwells will find that the show’s wide level of support and tradition of excellence makes it the ideal platform for reaching a wider equestrian audience.”
