Vermont Summer Festival Announces 2004 Dates

East Dorset, VT—July 28, 2003—The Vermont Summer Festival, which brings five weeks of exciting equestrian competition to Vermont, will return in 2004 from July 14 through August 15.

The Vermont Summer Festival, New England’s largest “AA” rated hunter-jumper horse show, kicks off with the Manchester Summer Festival, July 14-18. The competition continues with the Manchester Classic Horse Show, July 21-25 , the Valley Classic, July 28-August 1, Manchester and the Mountains Horse Show, August 4-8, and then concludes with the Vermont Summer Celebration, August 11-15.

Once again, the five weekly horse shows that make up the Festival will be held at Harold Beebe Farm in East Dorset, VT. The show grounds provide top-notch facilities for riders, horses, and spectators alike. The grounds boast an all-weather Grand Prix and Jumper field, three all-weather hunter rings, as well as several all-weather riding/schooling rings.

Each week will feature a USET-recognized Grand Prix as well as a Mini Prix. Each horse show will also feature a $10,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, part of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series, which determines which junior and amateur-owner riders will qualify to ride in the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Finals at the 2004 National Horse Show. There will also be Marshall & Sterling and North American League Children and Adult Hunter and Jumper Classics.
