Jumping - Kerrygold Grand Prix League - Marshall Wins Blessington,
Enters League Top 6

ALWAYS
a potential threat to the leaders in the Kerrygold Grand Prix League,
Ballyclare's Harry Marshall today (Sunday) clinched the Blessington
Super League Grand Prix and catapulted himself into Third on the
League table.
Clocking
up his first Grand Prix win at Saintfield three weeks ago, Marshall
repeated the medicine in sparkling form at the sunlit sand arena
in Kill Equestrian Centre, where the Blessington Show was held today,
riding <Splendido>.
League
leader James Kernan went in after Marshall, and although turning
in a copybook clear, was over three seconds behind the Ulsterman,
but the Super League points accrued were enough to increase his
lead as No.1 in the overall table.
Marshall
afterwards said that his own final round was <not just good,
but fantastic>, and was obviously ecstatic about his horse's
performance against a very competitive field.
Conor
Swail also made his presence felt with a good Fourth on <Windgate's
Paragon>, while Edward Doyle took Third today on <Ramiro B>.
Though
racking up a Sixth on <Cavaleve> at Kill, Linda Courtney remains
tantalisingly short of the necessary points to bring her into the
Top Six on the league table.
