Equestrian Announces Stateline Tack/USAE Pony Finals

The
2003 Stateline Tack/USAE Pony Finals will be held August 5-8,
at the Andrews School in Willoughby, OH, and will be managed by
Mike Rheinheimer.
Hunter
To
qualify for the Wild Horsefeathers/USAE Regular and Green Hunter
Pony, a pony must win a Championship in an “A” rated
Regular Hunter Pony section or a Championship or Reserve Championship
in an “A” rated Green Hunter Pony section. The pony
must be registered with the Federation at the time of the win
in order for the Championship or Reserve Championship to count.
Sections held after July 1 will count toward next year’s
competition. The qualifying period for the Regular Hunter Pony
section is July 2, 2002, -
July
1, 2003. The Green Hunter Pony section qualifying period is December
1, 2002, through July 1, 2003.
Medal
A
rider who accumulates 30 points will receive a silver medal from
the Federation and will qualify for the USAE Pony Medal Finals,
held in conjunction with the USA Equestrian Pony Competition.
Points are awarded as follows: 1st place = 30 pts.; 2nd place
= 15 pts.; 3rd place = 10 pts. A rider that has qualified for
the Finals can continue to compete in qualifying classes. Riders
can qualify for the Medal from July 2, 2002, through July 1, 2003.
Jumpers
Each
Zone may take a team of the top three or four pony/rider combinations
from their zone to compete in the 2003 Horsecity.com/USAE Pony
Jumper National Championships. The Zone of each pony/rider combination
is determined by the rider’s home address as recorded with
the USA Equestrian as of June 2 of each year. Qualifying points
can be accrued at any USA Equestrian recognized competition. All
Pony Jumper divisions which meet the specifications as outlined
in the USA Equestrian Rule Book from June 2, 2002 to June 1, 2003,
of the current show year will be used to calculate the top four
pony/rider combinations in each Zone. Points are tallied from
the National standings (see Art. 919.2 for point tabulation chart).
Pony/rider combinations can accrue points outside of their Zone.
