Robinsons announce winner of Superstore building contract

Robinsons have announced that Allenbuild, a well-known building contractor has been appointed to build their new Superstore in Ashton-in-Makerfield. Building work will start in early April. Allenbuild Northwest has been established for over fifty years and operates from their new offices in Wigan. Among their most notable recent projects was involvement in the Comedy Store theatre, which is set within an existing railway arch in central Manchester. Robinsons' Managing director Jim Bentham is looking forward to working with the builder, saying, "We are very pleased to have chosen Allenbuild. Their impressive reputation and strong local links will be invaluable in our project. I'm sure it will be quite a unique undertaking for them to build a store that is unlike anything else in Europe. The fact that it is so different makes it quite a prestigious project for them to be involved with too."

The project will be co-ordinated through AC Robinsons & Associates, a highly respected civil engineering company, based in St Helens. Construction will continue throughout the Spring and Summer with completion expected some time in the Autumn.
