(This video is was produced from the initial Master's Tour seminar that took place February 10, 2002 at Addington Manor Equestrian Center, Bucks England. Hosted by Britain's Richard Davidson, the evening starts with Anky Van Grunsven and her partner trainer Sjef Janssen talking about what they look for when buying a talented young prospect. Anky then rides a 5 year old mare, with she Sjef showing how they start off the young horse, with demonstrations of the correct exercises. In the last part of the first half, Anky gives a lesson to one of her pupils and then rides the student’s horse herself. The second half includes a short interview, with Anky recalling some of her greatest moments with Bonfire, his weaknesses and how he conquered his fears. The final part features Anky riding one of her stars of the future under Sjef's watchful eye. This fascinating "lesson" had the capacity crowd enthralled. Taped using four cameras, this video is full of information and insightful tips to assist riders, especially those with novice and green horses. It is also a wonderful view into how an Olympic Champion prepares herself and her horses and what it takes to make it to the top.
