South
Essex's 'Equine Healthcare' Jumps Into The 21st Century
South
Essex Insurance Brokers, which has pioneered most major
developments in equestrian protection over the last 30 years,
is to refine its policies to provide a "equine healthcare"
service.
"When
they pay their premiums, owners are really investing in
their horse or pony's health and well being," said
equine director David Buckton. "What they are doing
is to buy healthcare in the same way that people buy private
medical care for themselves - we provide the funds to help
a horse or pony get better when it has a problem."
Managing
director Barry Fehler said: "In the past, when veterinary
costs were comparatively low, people took out livestock
policies to insure their saddlery, or cover the cost of
a horse's life. If they lost a horse, financially they had
lost three thousand or so pounds.

for the $150,000 Ford Grand Prix of the Desert, the Grand
Finale to six weeks of top-level hunter/jumper competition
at the HITS Indio Desert Circuit. The competition attracted
a field of 46 entries, and Richard Spooner and Hilton Flight
were first in the order of go. Not the most enviable position
in the competitive sport of Grand Prix show jumping, Spooner
proved that first in the ring can also mean first in the
class. When asked if he imagined that he might win today's
class considering his #1 position in the jump order, Richard
replied, "It didn't surprise me at all. Hilton Flight
is a really, really good horse. That's why I chose him as
my World Cup horse today. He had performed pretty well on
the [Indio Desert] Circuit so far, but he hadn't won. Today
he proved he could!"

AFTER
winning the $75,000 PDP Capital Masters Cup in Wellington,

Saddletech
Releases The New And Improved Saddletech Gauge MK I I
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: WOODSIDE, CA: March 12, 2004: To
determine if a saddle FITS a horse's back, the laws of geometry
require the comparison of all three (3) dimensions, of both
surfaces, in relationship to each other. Unfortunately,
saddles are not measured in three-dimensions. There is Gullet
Width and Seat Length, but there are no standardized three-dimensional
measurements to be able to relate the curvature of the horses
backs to the shapes of saddles. This lack of an accurate
calibrated measurement method is the reason why Equestrians
have such difficulty finding a saddle to FIT their horse.

Light Goes For Three-Peat In $25,000 International Cup At
Royal Palm Polo
BOCA
RATON, FL Two-time defending champion Bud Light knows
it has a bulls-eye on their jerseys as Billy Buschs
team goes for a three-peat in the $25,000 USPA International
Cup against Henley House Sunday at 3 p.m. at Royal Palm
Polo
We
havent lost a game in this tournament in two years
and the pressure is on us, said Busch, who has scored
four goals in two games in 2004. In a single-elimination
tournament every game is important, but weve risen
to the challenge. Every team plays a little harder to try
to knock us out.
