Joins USA Equestrian Sponsors |
USA Equestrian is
proud to welcome HorseCity.com, the American Horse
Publications web site of the year, to its outstanding list of sponsors.
"HorseCity.com
knows that forming strong relationships with the world
largest equine organizations will be one key to our success. With over
half
a million users a month looking to us for equine information it is paramount
that we work hard with USA Equestrian to meet those needs. This is a
perfect marriage between one of the nations finest equestrian organizations
and the Internet's fastest growing equine web site," said Ryan R.
Dohrn,
General Manager of HorseCity.com.
HorseCity.com debuted online in December of 1997 with more
non-breed-specific, in-depth horse news and information than any other
equine web site, a distinction it holds today. Last year, HorseCity.com
garnered the senior designation "Forbes Favorite" in a "Best
of the Web"
competition and was named as best electronic publication by the American
Horse Publications group. A subsidiary of Morris Communications Company,
a
Fortune 100 publishing company and owner of such equine magazines as Western
Horseman, the site is staffed completely by employees who ride, including
Morris corporate CEO Billy Morris.
HorseCity.com joins
the list of USA Equestrian sponsors that includes Black
Entertainment Television, Choice Hotels, Cosequin/Nutramax Laboratories,
First USA Bank, Equisure, HBO - The Home Box Office Network, Hertz, Hodges
Badge Company, Miller Harness Company, Monarch International, Prudential
Insurance, State Line Tack, The EMO Agency, Inc, Triple Crown Custom and
United Airlines.
USA Equestrian Inc., as the National Equestrian Federation of
the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship
sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping,
and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian
competition. As the country's largest multi-breed organization, the Federation
has over 77,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions nationwide
each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including educating
and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who officiate
at these shows.
