International event rider, Lucy Henson secures sponsorship from two British companies.

horse Joules Clothing of Market Harborough, Leicestershire have agreed a sponsorship deal with event rider, Lucy Henson for the 2001 season.

Joules Clothing are well established in the eventing world and produce a range of stylish country clothing and a super selection of hats from the Simon Charles range. The Joules range of clothing is popular with owners and competitors alike – ‘ I already have some Joules clothes, they are lovely to wear so now there is no excuse for me not to be smart all the time!’ Comments Lucy.

Wendals Herbs of Kings Lynn, Norfolk are sponsoring Lucy’s Intermediate ride Cool Cocktail, who will be competing at two star level this year.

‘The Wendals Herb range is perfect for our horses and compliments my way of feeding, I like to keep everything as natural as possible. The horses are certainly looking great since they have been with Wendals.’ Says Lucy.

Mike Jennings, Managing Director of Wendals Herbs – ‘ We are delighted to be associated with Lucy and are really looking forward to getting more involved with eventing. We are enjoying a huge growth in the UK market and it is great to be able to put something back into equestrian sport.’

Lucy reports – ‘I am very lucky to have support from two super companies I just hope we can get eventing soon so that they can enjoy the sport too!’

Lucy, nee Jennings, married to Bramham Horse Trials Director Tim Henson, has been on British teams at Junior, Young Rider and Senior level including the European Championships in Pratoni and was first reserve for Atlanta Olympics in 1996. After the tragic loss of her fantastic little horse Diamond Pedlar, Lucy has started from scratch to produce a new string of horses again and has produced the consistently good Advanced horse, A Touch of Frost, owned by her mother and Fairfax Interiors. ‘It would be great to find one more ride for this season to complete the team – we are always keen to hear from owners!’ If you would like to base your horse with Lucy for the season then please contact her – 01427 719031
