Shines in WBFSH Rankings
The Rankings Department for the World Breeding Federation for Sport
Horses notified Morningside Stud today that the WBFSH Jumping Ranking
2002-2003 for the stallion Condios is incorrect. The WBFSH CD-rom
and homepage have Condios ranked as the world's 591st best jumper;
in fact, according to the WBFSH, Condios' correct ranking is 355th.
The WBFSH will publish a correction in the magazine Horse International
and update their homepage.
The
WBFSH ranking of jumping horses is based on results in large International
Grand Prix, Nations Cup, and World Cup classes.
Based
on these corrected data, in his age group (birth year 1995) Condios
is the #1 Holsteiner international showjumper, the #2 international
showjumping stallion of any breed, and the #6 international showjumper
overall.
Two
progeny of Coriano, the sire of Condios, appear in the 2002-2003
rankings: Condios (stallion, born 1995) in 355th position and Cyrano
de Bergerac (stallion, born 1994) in 815th position. Coriano, a
star sire of the Holsteiner Verband, has recently been ranked as
the #1 sire by the state of Schleswig-Holstein, the #2 sire by the
Holsteiner Verband, and the #4 sire of showjumpers by the German
National Federation.
