Arabian Might

For almost thirty-years Lesley Dunn has experienced the trials and tribulations of running and maintaining Warrens Hill Arabians where she has been breeding, for performance, pure and part-bred Arabians.

Having always enjoyed her work it was when her local feed merchants began stocking a new feed range that competitive success truly began. Making an informed choice - having read the accompanying literature on the feeds - Lesley opted to give the Allen & Page feeds a try and started her mares and youngsters on Stud Pencils. Since deciding to make the switch she has never felt the need to try another brand.

Buoyed by the positive results she was seeing in the condition of the mares and youngsters, Lesley felt encouraged to delve deeper into the range.

So, she tried feeding her advanced endurance horses, Chatanz and Franzara, on Calm & Condition and, once again, was delighted with the tangible success. It was more than she had dared hope for, after all Chatanz and Franzara ran different races and were different types of horses. The former composed and casual, the latter edgy, bursting with nervous-energy. Despite these differences, with the combination of Lesley's experience and the new feed both horses stayed in great condition throughout the season and had superb results.

Chatanz has been placed in various endurance races in 2003, including winning the Berkshire Down 40 mile race and was Best Conditioned in the 26 mile AHS Marathon which he ran at over 19mph - and seemed like he wanted to do it all over again. While Franzara tasted even more triumph as she became the most successful horse in Endurance races organised by Endurance GB having been placed in various races including winning the 100 mile Red Dragon Endurance ride, the 100 mile National Championships and the Best Condition award as well.
