Garden State Horse Show Welcomes Barbara Lang On Staff

AUGUSTA, NJ—Feb 6, 2002—The Garden State Horse Show is pleased to welcome Barbara Lang to its staff. Lang will be in charge of the Grand Prix tent and will also be the sponsor party hostess.

The Garden State Horse Show will begin its second half-century when it hosts its 51st annual edition, May 1-5, 2002 at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ.

In joining the Garden State Horse Show, Lang brings seven years of experience as coordinator of the Bayer/USET Festival of Champions, the multi-discipline event held each June at the United States Equestrian Team Olympic Training Center in Gladstone, NJ. She also has many years of experience with the Essex Horse Trials, Gladstone Driving Event and the USET Talent Search Finals. In addition, she has worked as a sponsor and VIP hostess at such major events as the Cosequin Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida and the Fair Hill International in Maryland. According to Lang, coordinating the Festival was her biggest challenge. “It was a tremendous responsibility.”

George Uniss, co-chairman of the Garden State Horse Show, said, “We felt it was time that Garden State had a professional hostess who is familiar with the horse world and the people. We are thrilled to have someone with Barbara’s experience and knowledge who can properly entertain the sponsors and see to the needs of the Grand Prix box holders.”

Uniss added, “We felt that Barbara would be a good representative of the horse show so we contacted her and she was ready to go.”

Lang is looking forward to working with the Garden State Horse Show and wants to “make it a fun event for everyone.” She added, “It’s very exciting. It’s the biggest horse show in New Jersey, and it has a lot of potential.”

Barbara Lang can be reached at (908) 234-0447 or during the winter in West Palm Beach, FL, at (561)-716-1020.

The Garden State Horse Show is rated "AA" by USA Equestrian (formerly known as the American Horse Shows Association).
