The
World Class Start And Potential Programme Secures Funding
To March 2005

The
British Equestrian Federation¹s World Class Start and Potential
(WCS&P) programme has secured funding at its existing levels
for the four equestrian Olympic disciplines Dressage, Paralympic
Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing until March 2005.
The
World Class Start and Potential programme is for riders between
the ages of 14 and 30 who demonstrate the exceptional talent and
dedication to ride and win at Olympic level in 2008 and 2012. Riders
on the programme are selected after a 2-day riding assessment and
an interview by a panel of experts.

Kind, World Class Start and Potential Manager said:

am delighted that World Class Start & Potential has been fortunate
to secure funding until March 2005, I believe this is primarily
due to the great depth of talented and dedicated young British riders
in all the disciplines, and also to their hard work and commitment
to move one step closer to their ultimate goal of riding at Olympic
level².
The
2003 World Class Start and Potential riders have had a fantastic
year with a number of prestigious wins Nationally and Internationally
and look set to progress to the next level of their careers. Sarah
Cutteridge who was on this year¹s World Class Potential eventing
squad has since been chosen for Great Britain¹s 2004 World
Class Performance Athens squad.
