BETA Support Business Forum At Equus 2003

FOLLOWING the huge success of the Business Forum at Equus 2002 plans are well underway to reach new heights with the 2003 forum.

Supported by BETA, the theme for the Business Forum will be 'Developing Your Business' and once again brings together some of the industry's leading figures.

BETA Chief Executive and Secretary Claire Williams said: "The inaugural Business Forum proved very successful and we are very pleased to be putting together the 2003 event.

"The forum will include presentations on topics vital to the success of businesses in the equestrian industry.

"It will provide the opportunity for those attending to meet others in the industry and to learn more about developing their businesses."

The Forum will take place on Thursday, April 3, and commence at 10.30am with the first of four speakers.

The speakers will include Ronnie Leggat of Merial Animal Health who will talk on Developing your Business- Feasibility, Acceptability, Suitability For Business, and Jane Skepper of HorseIT.com who will discuss Using The Internet To Build Your Business.

Other areas covered will include PR and marketing, staff motivation and training.

The Business Forum will be of particular interest to manufacturers, retailers, livery yards and riding schools as well as anyone involved in supplying goods or services to the equestrian sector.

Added Ms Williams: "We are delighted to be supporting the forum at Equus once again. The forum helps to attract a wide range of people to the show and the seminars will help increase professionalism in the equestrian industry. It is an ideal opportunity for retailers to learn more about business topics in a setting that they can enjoy."

The Business Forum will take place in the purpose built seminar rooms above the exhibition hall at ExCeL with views over the Royal Docks and giving a bird's eye view of the show. ExCeL is in London's Royal Dockland area with easy access by train or from the motorway network and with ample parking.

Tickets for the Business Forum cost £25 + VAT per person for a half day or £35 + VAT per person for the full day. There is a 25 per cent discount on the above rates for BETA members (excluding lunch). Lunch is available at £10.00 per person. Ticket price includes admission to the show.
