USET Website Awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the International Web Page Awards

Gladstone, NJ—April 9, 2002—The United States Equestrian Team (USET) website (www.uset.org) has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the International Web Page Awards for 2001.

Each year thousands of website producing firms from all over the world submit their best sites to a panel of Webmasters and Graphic Designers in the hope of being honored as one of the best.

The criteria by which sites are judged are among the industry’s most demanding. Wired magazine considers this Internet award competition one of the top five in the world.

Judges with significant industry experience and credentials evaluate all websites that are submitted. The websites are reviewed utilizing a 26-question critique based on the attributes of the site. The review consists of 10 questions covering graphic design, 10 questions about content and 6 regarding the site’s programming. In order to receive a "Certificate Of Creative Achievement," a website needs to score a minimum of 100 points out of 156.

The USET website is managed by TOTALnet. TOTALnet provides complete website design and engineering services including marketing, design, programming and hosting. TOTALnet’s technical team utilizes the most appropriate technology for secure on-line transactions, searchable databases, chat rooms, site analyses of traffic patterns, on-line site promotion, multimedia applications, interactive visitor forms or dynamic and updateable pages. Their outstanding capabilities led to the award-winning website for the USET.

The United States Equestrian Team is a non-profit organization that selects, trains, equips and finances equestrians of the highest possible standard to represent our country in major international competition, including the Olympic Games and the World Championships. To accomplish this, the USET seeks out and nurtures the development of talented athletes - riders, drivers and horses - and provides the support and guidance they need to help them attain their fullest potential.
