PERA News

Top international dressage judge and trainer, Francis Verbeek will be holding a dressage clinic at Waresley Park Stud on 16-18th March.
Francis has judged pure dressage at the World Cup Finals, World Championships and the will be judging at the Olympics in Athens. She is former European Bronze medal winner and has been Dutch champion several times. She has also been involved in training the Dutch eventing squad and is therefore able to wear an 'eventer's hat'. She has held a number of dressage clinics at Waresley Park Stud over previous years and therefore returns by popular demand!

Top Dutch show jumping rider and trainer Albert Voorn will also be visiting Waresley Park Stud to hold showjumping training sessions on 5th - 6th April. Albert has been showjumping champion of Holland twice and has had wins in both the World Cup and Nations Cup, and was silver medallist at the Sydney Olympics. Albert is best known as a rider and trainer of difficult or problem horses.

Training sessions cost £35 for PERA members, £65 for non members.

Waresley Park will also be 'open' to visitors to spend the day and watch the clinics, which promise to be very informative. You do not need to be a PERA member, tickets for the day are £15.

For bookings or more information, please contact Emma on 01767 651664 or email ej.hunter@btopenworld.com. Alternatively, you can download a booking form from the PERA members section of the website.

And finally a note from Alec Lochore, Organiser at Burnham Market....

As entries are now open for Burnham Market I would once again like to remind all owners & riders out there that we are holding a Special Advanced Class that will do Dressage and SJ in our purpose built grass main arena. We are offering good prize money which can be seen on our website. The CIC** will also do dressage in the main arena.

As usual we will irrigate the dressage and Show Jumping arenas and as much of the XC as possible if the ground is hard - if it is a very wet spring we can also offer good and consistent going. You know whats good for you and your horse - good Norfolk sea air! Hope to see you in April.
