Horsetv Enters Its Fourth Year Of Television Broadcasting

Houston, TX: HorseTV announced today that as of January, 2004 it has entered its fourth year of providing the finest equestrian and horse-related television programming to a nationwide audience of devoted viewers.

HorseTV broadcasts an outstanding array of documentary, show and event programming, as well as a wide variety of informational and instructional programs devoted to owners, riders, breeders and lovers of horses and equestrian sports.

Headed by equestrian media veteran Sally Lasater, who has spent many years working on expanding the limited coverage of equestrian sports on television, HorseTV was launched in January 2001. HorseTV programming is currently available through the America One Television’s network of affiliated television stations coast to coast, as well as on select cable systems and DISH and DirecTV through local option subscription in certain major markets. It is also available through the Internet.

In 2003, for the first time ever, both the Badminton and Burghley Horse Trials were available to an American television audience, as well as the top eventing competitions from Australia, Scotland and Ireland. Through HorseTV, U.S. equestrian enthusiasts also had access to the 2003 FEI Show Jumping and Dressage World Cups, and the Samsung Nations Cup and Super League Show Jumping series. This year, the schedule includes the 2004 FEI Show Jumping World Cup qualifying competitions from around the world.

Exciting programming lined up for later this spring include a special nine-week series on the 2003 All American Quarter Horse Congress, debuting in April. The 2003 Congress series begins Monday evening, April 5th and will run through the end of May. The 2004 Congress will also be seen on HorseTV during October 2004. Scheduled also for April is "Dressage At Devon – 2003," a highlights review of America's premier dressage show, as well as the beginning of two new on-going breed and documentary series, “Heavy Horses – The Draft Horse In America,” and “The American Ranch Story,” which will present “up-close” and personal visits to farms and ranches across the U.S.

"For the first time in the history of our sport, horse lovers of all persuasions have been able to tune in to regularly scheduled equestrian programming on an expanded basis," said Lasater, president of HorseTV Media Group, parent company of HorseTV. "For over three years, HorseTV has continually broadcast ground breaking equestrian television to the American public. We look forward to delivering much more new and exciting programming in 2004 as we pursue our goal of the 24 hour a day, HorseTV Channel."
