(PNB 26Aug2000)

she is transformed
into a woman
and now can come with me
into houses. at one house is
a party--all strangers to us both-- but they see her as a woman...
gone, for now, is her black skin and red hair:
tho her eyes are the same--deep, liquid, dark waters.
she obliges my suggestion to
stay in the yard anyway because
we know her manners are
still equine
although the humans in the house
do not see her truely.
