2000 Distance Appaloosa Breeders Futurity Winners- Entries open for 2001

Aim your young appaloosa athlete into the distance riding world by accepting the distance futurity challenge. Contact now for nominations. Renewing payments due by end of July.

2000 Winning Competitive horse just announced. Flee Bee Flite (also a registrered Rangerbred) owned and ridden by Gail Otto, China Michigan rode this 5 yr old mare to a 25 mile competitive win at Brighten Stables, Howell Michigan on October 7. The winning sire for 2000 was again Boogie’s King-Bee owned by CAB APPS Carol Ann Beckner from Indiana. There was no endurance winner for this year.

Flee Bee Flite began her trail career when she was nominated as a yearling based on her sire’s qualifying nomination. However there is also a provision for young nominees owners to pay the appaloosa sire’s nomination if his nomination is not possible. The case payback builds each year until at age 5 nominees may compete in Competitive and then at age 6 qualify to compete against other nominees in Endurance. Payback is made to winners and their sires.

For more info on nomination check out the website at http://dabf.itgo.com or contact carol Ann Beckner 4228 S 1100w Modoc In 47358 - phone 765-853-6113 - email cabapps@juno.com The futurity is looking for more appaloosa stallions who would like to prove themselves as sires in the distance world and youngsters to show the other breeds what appaloosas can do.
