Want To Learn More About Bits and Bitting?

AN innovative new course will aim to explain the mystery surrounding bits and bitting when it takes place later this year.

Well-known lorinery specialist, Tricia Nassau-Williams will head the course which has been developed to help riders and horse owners understand clearly the importance of bitting and the problems that can arise if the wrong bit is chosen.

Tricia, who is also the Projects Manager and Lorinery Course Co-ordinator for the Worshipful Company of Loriners, as well as the Field Officer for BETA, explains that the course is ideal for anyone who has an interest in horses, including riding teachers, equine physiotherapists, equine dental technicians, horse owners and riding enthusiasts.

The course will take the form of two modules and will cover subjects such as bit design, equine mouth conformation, stirrups and practical saddle and bridle fitting.
