Mary Haskins Gray To Represent U.S. At The FEI Waldfried Euro Cup Final

Mary-Haskins Gray, from Greensboro, NC, has been selected by the USA Equestrian/USET Dressage Credentials Committee to represent the United States at the Waldfried Euro Cup Final in Frankfurt, Germany, December 11 – 14. Her selection was based on her individual gold medal and team silver wins at the North American Young Riders’ Championships this past August, her victory at the USET Festival of Champions JR/YR Division and other numerous wins this past year. Gray will be competing on her horse Fregat (Fakir – Rampa), a 10-year-old Russian Budenny gelding. This is the first year the organizing committee has extended an invitation to the United States and to Canada. The riders against whom Gray will be competing have had to qualify throughout the year by participating in a series of qualifying competitions in Europe.

Gray will be receiving a grant from USA Equestrian’s Fund for Equestrian Youth Development to assist with the travel costs.

U.S. Equestrian was formed through the combination of USA Equestrian and the United States Equestrian Team. The vision of U.S. Equestrian is to provide leadership for equestrian sport in the United States of America, promoting the pursuit of excellence from the grass roots to the Olympic Games, based on a foundation of fair, safe competition and the welfare of its horses, and embracing this vision, to be the best national equestrian federation in the world.
