horse New Full Length Riding Coat From Gumleaf

Gumleaf has launched the Carlisle full length riding coat which offers total protection whatever the weather.

“This coat is made in the UK on the lines of an Australian stock coat in a lightweight and supple dark brown wax,” says Gumleaf founder Alistair Paterson, who farms 1,000 acres in Norfolk.

“Cotton lined with a polyester drip band, leg straps and saddle gusset are standard and the coat can be snapped around the legs to convert to leggings in severe conditions.”

Both breathable and waterproof the Carlisle has an oiled nubuck padded leather collar and elbow patches and the cape can be removed to give a more “traditional English appearance”. The coat also benefits from hand warmer pockets for added user comfort.

Alistair Paterson and Louise Caitling founded Gumleaf just two years ago.
Says Alistair: "Gumleaf clothing is aimed at people like us who live in and enjoy the countryside. Our new range of jackets and coats are made in the UK from UK quality cloth wherever possible.

“We are dedicated to providing absolute quality without compromise but with a distinctive style. The range , which includes, boots, trousers, hats, has been made to withstand rugged lifestyles and demanding environments and each piece has proven its durability.”

The Carlisle is also available as a 3/4 length jacket.

The full length Carlisle comes in sizes XS-XXL and retails at around £140.

Gumleaf who has had approaches from Japan the USA to stock its range currently exports to Holland and has two outlets in Ireland. They supply local country clothing shops as well as Highlands in Regent Street and Swaine Adeney Brigg in St James’s Street in London.
