International Livestock Congress Launches New Web Site Online registration available for 2002 Congress

(Houston, TX) – The International Livestock Congress (ILC) announced today that it has launched a new web site designed for easier navigation and a higher level of customer service for those who plan to attend the annual meeting. The site, which can be found at a new address, www.livestockcongress.com, will offer complete program and registration information, as well as a secure online registration process.

“This new site will provide not only our current information, but will also archive topics discussed at each Congress along with the opinion papers developed from discussions regarding critical issues,” said Chairman Dan Gattis. “We made the decision to change our site address, as well, in order to provide a clear, easy to remember, phrase for those interested in our work.”

In addition to proceedings from previous meetings and current meeting information, the site provides a downloadable Student Fellowship Application for students who wish to apply for a travel fellowship to the meeting. In addition are a number of links to industry-related organizations from around the world.

Managed by the International Stockmen’s Educational Foundation, the ILC will host its annual meeting February 19-23 in Houston, Texas, during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The meeting will feature the International Meat Secretariat’s Marketing and Communication Workshop, the Annual Beef Forum: “How to Achieve Profitability in a Dynamic Industry,” and Ranch Horse 101, focusing on the management of cattle with horses.

The registration deadline for the 2002 Congress is February 1. For more information, contact Executive Director Julie Kimball at (817) 367-6563.
