FEI Emirates Endurance World Masters Ride - August 31st 2002

The best of world endurance will make a leg in Costa Smeralda, absolutely one among the most beautiful places in the world and the coastline it is a sheer drop from the cliffs to one of the most crystal sea of the Mediterranean.

Costa Smeralda is located in the north side of Sardinia island, the Italian island which is place where the horse is since ever is integral part of men and where since centuries a precious breeding of Arab and Anglo-Arab that lately are giving good results also in endurance rides.

The meeting will be for the 31st of August, at San Pantaleo, where will take place a CEI** - 120 Km. ride, with the organization of Umbria Endurance Equestrian Team. The ride will be valid fro the FEI Emirates Endurance World Master and will be the second of the Italian stages after the ride of Piana di Castiglione del Lago of last 1st of June.

The ride will have headquarters, start and finish, at the Shergan show jumping Centre and will have five loops on four different tracks: Red Loop 35,510 Km., Green Loop 26,420 Km., Yellow 15,980 Km., Blue 26,110 Km., Yellow 15,980 Km. The mountains and the harshness of the Gallura where the loops will be traced will make the ride quite technical with a altitude difference that will lead the riders from the hills with a breathtaking view to the sea level where a short part of a loop will cross a bay with shallow water. For all riders and grooms the O.C. have reserved part of the Melià Poltu Quatu Hotel and Residence in one of the most fascinating inlet of Costa Smeralda. On Thursday 29th August will be organized a _Dinner Gala_ in the Hotel.
