The Blue Cross teams up with local equestrian star

The Blue Cross small animal and equine adoption centre at Northiam, Sussex has teamed up with well-known equestrian celebrity and talented performer Tanya Larrigan to hold an Open Day at Tanya's home in Woodchurch, featuring a fantastic and exclusive miniature horse display and a fun dog show to help raise funds for the charity.

The Open Day will be held at the Maywood Stud, Woodchurch (from High Holden, Kent take the turning opposite the Chequers Pub. Turn right at the crossroads onto Redbrook Street and follow the signs to Maywood Stud) on Sunday 10th August from 11am - 4pm and will include a variety of exciting displays and competitions as well as a bouncy castle, face painting and refreshments.

Attractions will include seeing Tanya train her famous miniature horses The Mini Marvels, culminating in the amazing Mini Marvel Riverdance display. With her ‘educated’ horse named Jacque Tanya will provide a fascinating insight into voice training horses, which includes clever Jacque showing the audience everything he has learnt and everything he has taught Tanya too!

The Blue Cross fun dog show starts at 12pm and has a class for every type of dog, with the emphasis on fun. Maybe your cosseted canine is a rosette winner in the making with the waggiest tail or the glossiest coat or perhaps the youngest member of the family will take home the best junior handler award?

Entry is £5 on the gate for vehicles and just £1 for pedestrians. For further information visit any of the following websites: www.bluecross.org.uk www.tanyashorses.com or www.theminimarvels.com

The Blue Cross is Britain's pet charity, providing information, advice and practical support for pet and horse owners. Through its network of animal adoption centres it rehomes thousands of animals each year. Its hospitals provide veterinary care for the pets of people who cannot afford private vets' fees.
