Sidesaddles
are not a thing of the past, but very much the center of interest
for thousands of equestriennes throughout the world. Teaching
more about the beautiful art of riding aside is the main functions
of organizations like The World Sidesaddle Federation and the
International Sides Saddle Organization. They have teamed up to
sponsor the premiere sidesaddle event...RIDE ASIDE! 2002.

RIDE
ASIDE! 2002 is an entire weekend devoted to sidesaddles
and sidesaddle riding, featuring: CLINICS - SEMINARS - WORKSHOPS
on:
* Dressage Aside
* Starting Your Horse Aside
* Jumping Aside
* Sidesaddle Equitation
* Western Sidesaddle
* Sidesaddle Fit
* Costuming and Period Attire, and What to Wear Aside
* Sidesaddle Anatomy, Evolution and History
* Evolution of the Sidesaddle
* KENNY HARLOW'S TRAINING WITH TRUST

Vendors
will have an opportunity to showcase their wares. This will be
a unique trade show that specializes in sidesaddle items. Some

Sidesaddle
and training experts will be from all over the country and
Europe.
This is an opportunity to learn from the best known experts
on the subject of riding aside. Featured speakers are: Roger
Philpot, Lillian Chaudhary, Rob Jenkins, Master Saddler,
Mary R. Downey, Rhonda Watts, Peggy Hipple, Kit Roszko,
Kenny Harlow and more!
A
Sidesaddle Museum and Habit Gallery will be available so
participants can compare saddles...side by side and see
the evolutionary changes that have occurred in sidesaddle
and attire. The SIDESADDLE SWAP will provide a prime opportunity
to buy, sell or trade individual sidesaddles or sidesaddle
related items.
ALL
ASIDE HORSE SHOW with sidesaddle equitation - all seats
and Costume and Fun Classes will be open to all breeds and
styles of riding. A Welcome Reception, Dinner and Fashion
Show and maybe even a KHP Trail Ride will be offered plus,
all the wonderful facilities of the Kentucky Horse Park!

Participants
are encouraged to come with or without a horse and meet
and greet fellow aside riders. 4-H members or a member of
breed group youth organizations may be eligible for a scholarship
to this event. Judges are specially urged to attend and
learn more about sidesaddle riding.
