Beaten By A Whisker At Hickstead Nations Cup
IRELAND¹S
SHOW JUMPING team this afternoon (THURSDAY) came second in the Nations
Cup of Great Britain.
Both
Ireland and Germany ended the two-round contest on 16 faults apiece,
but the German team were just 1.24 seconds faster on time.
This,
however, is Ireland¹s best result in the 2002 Nations Cup season,
and augurs well for the Aga Khan Cup at the Kerrygold Dublin Horse
Show on August 9, where the same team is selected to represent Ireland.
Cian
O'Connor jumped a double clear for Ireland today, while Dermott
Lennon had the fastest clear round of the competition when last
man in for Ireland.
