Ireland Competes For Nations Cup At Hickstead Today

IRELAND¹S SHOW JUMPING team today (THURSDAY) competes for the prestigious Nations Cup of Great Britain.

The competition begins at 2.30 p.m.

The team jumping at Hickstead will be the same as the team chosen to represent Ireland at the Aga Khan Trophy competition in Dublin next month.

They are:

CIAN O¹CONNOR

Ireland won the Samsung Nations Cup at Hickstead in both 2000 and 2001.

This year, they will be competing for the Cup against teams from Gt.Britain, Brazil, Germany, France, Belgium and Holland.

At the Kerrygold Horse Show in Dublin, the Irish team faces Belgium, France, Gt. Britain, Italy, Netherlands, and Switzerland in the Aga Khan Trophy (Nations Cup) on Friday, August 9.
