"Seeing Double" - or
"Double Trouble"?? Twin foals in the equine world that survive are very rare - and in the Clydesdale world this verges on the unique. So it is most unusual to have surviving twins born in successive years - but this has happened in both 1999 and 2000.
Their very proud owner is Cairns Witherow of Portnablagh, County Donegal, who took the photographs. Chapelton Lady Lauren and Chapelton Pride, photographed in 1999 along with their dam, Knowehead Gemma. Owned and bred by David Cannon of Ballinluig, Perthshire and born on 31st May, they are by Middlebank Carlogie Cameron Brig of Buchlyvie.
