Nick Skelton Wins The British Open At Sheffield


Nick Skelton from Shrewley, Warwickshire stormed to victory in Sundays British Open held at the Sheffield Hallam FM arena. Nick, riding John and Lisa Hales' Oldenberg stallion Arko III carried away the £25,000 prize money to become the British Open Champion. Based on a points system over three competitions, Nick finished with the least points to beat fellow countryman Robert Smith and Harry Smolders of the Netherlands into second and third place respectively.
