Would you know what to do if a rider fell off and was injured?

British Horse Society Equine Specific First Aid Courses

Would you know what to do if a rider fell off and was injured? Last year The British Horse Society (BHS) ran almost 150 Equine Specific First Aid Courses (ESFAC), not just for instructors and examiners but also for grooms, volunteers, fence judges and every day riders too.

The popular courses, run in association with Pro-Medical and Leven First Aid, are designed to teach human fist aid specifically for people involved in the horse world. There are two courses; an initial two-day ESFAC aimed at candidates who have no previous experience or who have let their certificate expire, and a one-day ESFAC refresher for those who have taken the initial course and need a biennial refresher to keep their certificates validated.

Run throughout the UK and Southern Ireland, the courses cost from £75 for the initial ESFAC and from £50 for the refresher ESFAC.

For further information on courses and dates contact the BHS Training Department on (tel: 01926 707799) or visit the BHS website: www.bhs.org.uk <http://www.bhs.org.uk>.
