ARMATHWAITE HALL STRONGID™-P HORSE TRIALS & CUMBERLAND NEWS COUNTRY FAIR
July 20th, 21st & 22nd, 2001

Strongid-P supports an extra £11,000 at Armathwaite Hall as prizes-in-kind

£11,000 has been added to the value of the prize fund at the Armathwaite Hall Strongid-P Horse Trials - already one of the biggest one-day prizes on the UK circuit - the event’s title sponsor Strongid-P confirming “incredibly generous” prizes in kind for all sections

Every rider placed inside the top 10 in all sections at the event over the weekend of July 20th-22nd will, in addition to the cash prizes, take home 10 Strongid-P wormers and a one-litre pack of Vi-Sorbin - together worth over £100, £1000 for each section.

The news is even better for the winner of the Strongid-P Classic - who could also take home the 2001 PERA Global Masters title, trophy and prize. The Strongid-P Classic’s £4000 first prize and the bronze Armathwaite Hall Perpetual Trophy will be boosted by a year’s supply of Strongid-P wormer for up to 10 horses and 4 one-litre packs of Vi-Sorbin - adding another £1000 to the total prize value!

The event’s joint organisers Charles Graves and Frank Hewett-Smith were quick to congratulate the innovative approach taken by Pfizer in offering the additional prizes.

Frank commented, “Strongid-P has proven how a strong and forward-thinking relationship between event organisers and sponsors can really benefit competitors. Our advanced sections alone offer a £24,000 cash prize fund - the new prizes-in-kind add a further £4000 to this!

“What’s even better from every viewpoint, is that all the placed riders at every level will receive the same generous prizes - an extra £100’s worth of wormer and Vi-Sorbin. We think it’s a tremendous idea and exactly what the rule change to allow prizes in kind was introduced to encourage!”
