Success for Irish Sport Horses |

Irish
Sport Horses have been enjoying success in Spain over last weekend.
At the Vigo (ESP) CSI W Mister Springfield (ISH) and Robert
Smith (GBR) continued on their winning roll by taking first
place in the Premio Caixa Galicia qualifier for the Grand Prix
World Cup (1m50) €25,000 class on Friday, February 14th.
In the Vigo Grand Prix FEI World Cup class on Saturday Mister
Springfield (ISH) shared joint tenth position with Coolcorron
Cool Diamond (ISH) and Robert Splaine (IRL), amongst other international
riders. |
Sundays
Vigo Grand Prix Caixa Galicia saw Mr. Flanagan (ISH) take fifth
place ridden by D. Mascella (FRA) while Frisky IV (ISH) and Ludger
Beerbaum (GER) took fifth in the Premio Suflenorsa 1m40.
The
Vejer De La Frontera (ESP) CSI A also occurred last weekend. Fridays
1m30 class was won by Diamond Carat (ISH) ridden by Niall Talbot
(IRL). The 1m45 class was won by Gandini Stardust VI (ISH) ridden
by Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA). This pairing went on to take fifth place
in Saturdays 1m50 class and sixth in Sundays Vejer Grand Prix.
Also
on Sunday, in the 1m30 class, Say You Will (ISH) and J. Guerra (Mex)
took second place with Hopes are High (ISH) and M. Broome (GBR)
in fourth.

Meanwhile,
at the Neumunster CSI A in Germany, Abbervail Dream (ISH) and
Di Lampard (GBR) took third place in the Holsten Pilsener Preis
1m50 class. Further afield at the $25,000 HITS Ocala Grand Prix
in Florida (USA), Kevin Babington (IRL) blazed through a challenging
course to win both first and third positions, winning with his
second mount, Libera and coming third with Carling King (ISH).
