Laura Boynton King 'Peak Performance Clinic' Scheduled For February 23, 2004, In Wellington

WELLINGTON, FL - January 28, 2004 - Right on time for the winter horse show circuits, certified hypnotist and sports hypnotist Laura Boynton King has scheduled an all-new "Keys To Winning Equestrian Peak Performance Clinic" to be held on Monday, February 23, 2004, in Wellington, Florida. Hosting the cutting-edge clinic is Crossroads Farm in the Mallet Hill community, which borders the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club show grounds, home of the Winter Equestrian Festival. The clinic is scheduled from noon to 3:00 pm. There is no charge to attend the clinic and a complimentary luncheon will be served. A combination of lectures and demonstrations will be featured, but the clinic is not a riding lesson.

According to Ms. King, who is a rider with 25 years of experience as a hypnotist, the clinic will benefit riders who are dealing with nervousness before they enter the show ring, anxiety when it's their turn to perform, the inability to focus during a lesson or at a horse show, and frustration with their horse and their riding ability. "Horseback riding is 80% mental," says Ms. King. "You can learn to use imagery and positive 'self-talk' to sharpen your skills and achieve success."

Ms. King is the founder and director of Summit Dynamics™, based in Lake Park, FL, which offers help to riders through her sessions, clinics, CDs and tapes utilizing hypnosis and self-hypnosis. "Hypnosis gives you access to your subconscious mind and opens the door to new ways of learning," states Ms. King. "It allows you to reprogram your subconscious with positive suggestions that replace the negative effects of stress."

Riders leave Ms. King's clinics with practical tools that increase their riding performance by teaching them how to eliminate negative self-talk, use the power of visualization, and remove show jitters. "Those tools enable riders to reach higher levels of performance," explained Ms. King. "The techniques physically and mentally relax the rider's body. The horse senses the release of muscle tension and the result is a peaceful, rhythmic and harmonious ride."

Ms. King's recently released new and revised Keys to Winning for the Equestrian, a series of self-hypnosis CDs and tapes featuring the brand new sixth CD titled Positive Self Talk, will be available at the clinic. Each CD is approximately 20 minutes in length. Additional titles are: Basic Relaxation for the Equestrian, Fearless Showing & Jumping, Peak Performance - Building Confidence, Poise and Self-Image, Release of Performance Anxiety, and Gaining Concentration for the Equestrian.

Attendees at the Equestrian Peak Performance Clinic on February 23 in Wellington will be eligible for several door prizes, including a gift certificate to Tackeria and a full body clipping for their horse by Dana Boyd-Miller. Mallet Hill is a gated community, so reservations are necessary. To reserve your spot for the clinic and luncheon, and to obtain directions, call (561) 841-7603.
